FNI 301 - Nutrition Education and Counseling (4 cr.) Application of current theories and techniques of counseling and education to the field of nutrition and dietetics. Experiential learning and practical application of instructional procedures, counseling methods, motivational interviewing and behavior change techniques will be a large component of the class. Students will have the opportunity to develop and use resources and materials appropriate for various ages, abilities and situations unique to the field of dietetics and nutrition. Prerequisite(s): FNI 211 , FNI 241 (FNI 241 may be taken concurrently), junior or senior status required. Semester(s) Offered: Spring
