EDR 553 - Teaching English Language Learners (ELLs) (3 cr.)

This course prepares teacher candidates to support literacy development and academic success of English Language Learners (ELLs) in the regular education classroom. Candidates will develop knowledge about language, language acquisition, strengths and needs of ELLs, policy and regulations, as well as professional ability to plan, assess, and differentiate instruction for ELLs.
Prerequisite(s): Major in MST education, EDR 522  or EDR 524 .
