ENG 390 - Writing Tutoring Theories and Practice (3 cr.) Students will explore writing center theory, writing pedagogy, and advanced feedback practices through a variety of readings, a self-designed research project, and input from campus stakeholders, focusing on how social theory effects writing success in a variety of disciplines. Non-English majors encouraged. Successful completion of this course meets some of the training requirements to become a CRLA Level III Master Tutor and is required for becoming a peer writing tutor at the Learning Center. Prerequisite(s): ENG 101 or its equivalent Semester(s) Offered: Fall
