HIS 3350 - The Anthropocene in Modern Culture (3 cr.)

This is an experimental survey on the end of the world. More specifically, we will be looking at the responses from scholars in the arts, humanities, and social sciences to the end of the world, and especially to the economic, political, cultural and social changes since the American Civil War. There will be reading, viewing, listening, discussion, writing, experiments with radical attention.
