HIS 3550 - Ancient Histories Modern Clues (3 cr.) This course covers humanity’s ancient past from the end of the Neanderthals through the Iron Age and will also cover Pre-Columbian America. Historians and Social Scientists are currently discovering a more complex ancient world than we ever imagined and this class will examine and analyze their findings. We will look at the discovery of fire, the wheel, and metallurgy, domestication of plants and animals, and the trade routes that brought diverse cultures together.
