MAT 108 - Statistical Pathways I (3 cr.) This course supports MAT 109 Statistical Pathways II and must be taken concurrently with it. Students will cover foundational material needed for SP II, with information coordinated as much as possible to match the material presented in SP II in a timely manner. Topics will include descriptive statistics, bivariate data, simple random sampling, comparing fractions, proportions, and percentages, simple linear regression, exponential growth and decay, and probability and probability distributions. Upon completion of both MAT 108 and 109 students will satisfy the Math Competency requirement, the 5GE Math requirement and the CCC Quantitative Reasoning requirement.
