SWK 401 - Generalist Practice II (3 cr.) This is the second of three courses that prepare students for generalist practice. Content focuses on the development of knowledge and skills in working with individuals, families, and treatment groups. Central to the presentation of content are the social work values of respect for the dignity and worth of every human being, venerating diversity, client empowerment, self-determination, confidentiality, and social justice. Particular emphasis is placed on approaching generalist practice with critical thinking skills. Liberal Arts Prerequisite(s): ENG 101 , social work majors only; SWK 302 . Meets Advanced Writing Requirement Semester(s) Offered: Spring
