PSC 311 - Quantitative Political Analysis (3 cr.) How can research about politics be “scientific”? How can we draw conclusions about political phenomena in a systematic and testable way? This course provides an introduction to quantitative analytical methods as applied to the study of politics and public policy. Topics to be covered include: data gathering, descriptive and inferential statistics, tests of hypotheses, and basic mathematical modeling.
