PSC 100 - U.S. National Politics (3 cr.) How does the American political system work? Why was it divided into Congress, the Presidency, and the Judiciary, and how has it evolved? In this course, students learn about the constitutional, political, and social aspects of the American political system. This includes the structure and functions of Congress, the Presidency, and the Supreme Court, key political issues, how policy decisions are made, and how to be more effective citizens in a representative democracy.
