MAT 411 - Mathematics Teaching Methods for Adolescence Education (4 cr.) A course designed to familiarize the adolescence major with the content and processes of the New York State and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics standards. Students will gain knowledge of diverse teaching strategies and methods as well as assessment techniques. Additional emphasis will be given to classroom management, planning, grading, and incorporation of technology into the classroom, with multiple opportunities for less and unit plan presentations. Liberal arts Prerequisite(s): MAT 301 , MAT 302 , MAT 326 , MAT 353 , MAT 361 . Semester(s) Offered: Fall
