ENV 417 - Environmental Impact Assessment (3 cr.) This course will review the environmental impact assessment process including major federal (National Environmental Policy Act or NEPA), state (New York State Environmental Quality Review Act or SEQRA), regional and local regulations; the environmental impact statement (EIS) process and report preparation; American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) process and report preparation; assessment methodologies; and public participation. The course will also review environmental field methods used in the evaluation of site conditions for the preparation of the ESA/due diligence documents typically requested by owners and/or developers in acquisition of a property. Liberal arts Prerequisite(s): ENV 101 , ENV 201 , ENV 304 , ENV 310 , GEG 121 , GEL 101 ; and junior standing. Semester(s) Offered: Fall
