BIO 101 - General Biology I (4 cr.) Fundamental principles of biology at the molecular and cellular level are considered beginning with the chemical basis of life and including cell organization, energy transfer through photosynthesis and respiration, information flow from DNA to protein using transcription and translation, cell replication, including DNA replication, mitosis, and meiosis, and aspects of genetics, including Darwinian genetics.
