CMM 212 - The Magic of Digital Media (3 cr.)

Learn how to harness the power of digital technology to better understand the digital ecosystem we operate within and to enhance and enrich your life. This course provides students the opportunity to switch from being passive users and consumers of media and technology to avid and critical creators within the communal information ecosystems they engage with. In this course students will explore the fundamentals of media production, dissect the way we use technology and media in our lives, learn about the impacts those uses have on our society, and build a critical and mindful lens with which to interpret and perpetuate media messages.
