SWK 520 - Generalist Field Seminar I (1 cr.) This Generalist Field Seminar is the first of a two-part course sequence of the Generalist Field Seminar I & II to accompany Generalist Field Practicum I. This course is designed to help students make the transition from classroom to experiential learning by providing a structured environment for reflection, skills development, and integration of classroom learning with real-world practice. Through engaging in seminar activities, students will enhance their understanding of generalist social work principles and cultivate essential skills for effective reflexive and ethical generalist social work practice. The successful completion of this course sequence, indicates a student’s ability to move into the more advanced and autonomous Advanced Practice year field experience. Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in the MSW Program. Corequisite(s): SWK 515 Semester(s) Offered: Fall
