CSM 431 - Red Team: Ethical Hacking and Incident Response (3 cr.)


Modern enterprise cybersecurity requires the “hacker” perspective and in-depth penetration testing. These offensive techniques require an understanding of systems, their vulnerabilities and defensive measures.  This course will give students an overview of the Penetration Tester career field within Cybersecurity and hands-on activities to reinforce understanding of the offensive perspective in cybersecurity.  This course is aligned with industry certifications such as CompTIA Pentest +, E-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and Offsec PEN-200 Penetration Testing with Kali Linux.
Prerequisite(s): MIS 302 CSM 412 .
