CSM 425 - Information Privacy and Ethics (3 cr.) The cybersecurity environment is a multidisciplinary landscape involving technical, administrative, and legal concepts. Information Privacy refers to the rights and controls individuals have over the personally identifiable information (PII) that are collected, stored, and used from them by organizations. To ensure privacy is adequately managed in organizations, practitioners must be well-versed in ethical decision-making and compliance with well-known standards and regulations. These include standards such as PCI-DSS, and regulations like HIPAA, GDPR, etc. Prerequisite(s): CSM 412 Semester(s) Offered: Spring
