ANT 215 - Ancient Technology (3 cr.) In this course we will explore the process of technological development and the methods by which ancient people could have produced tools. During the course of this semester, we will attempt to document and produce technologies that were once commonplace (Stone tools, Basketry, Leather, Wood, Food etc.), which are relatively unknown. Students will experimentally recreate ancient technologies, using only the materials and implements that would have been available to a pre-industrial culture.
