CRI 340 - Transnational Crime (3 cr.)


This course deals with one of the most critical and encompassing types of crime in this century: Transnational Crime (TC). It explores the diverse dimensions of transnational crime to understand historical and current patterns of crimes that occur beyond national borders. Crimes such as drug trafficking, human trafficking, firearms trafficking, wild-life trafficking, counterfeiting, maritime piracy, and money laundering are covered in detail. Some ways of combating transnational crime are also discussed.
