AAS 308 - Black Europe (3 cr.) This course provides students with an understanding of how colonialism in Africa and the Caribbean shaped both post-colonial migration to Europe and European notions of race. The course will also examine contemporary issues surrounding immigration and international and local anti-racist movements linked to the Black Diaspora in Europe. Liberal Arts Prerequisite(s): Any lower-level course within the category, “World Cultures,” or Sophomore standing or higher.
