EDU 359 - Methods of Science and Social Studies (3 cr.)

This course provides fundamental experience in elementary science and social studies pedagogy as described by current research and practice, with a focus on an inquiry approach. Aligned with the New York State Standards, it focuses on building a foundation for the teaching and learning of science and social studies in elementary classrooms.
Prerequisite(s): EDU 240 or equivalent; matriculation in B.S. Childhood Education/B.S./M.S.Ed. Childhood Education and Special Education.
