MIS 405 - Enterprise Information and Cloud Systems (3 cr.)

This course emphasizes the theory and practice of information technology implementation in an organization. The student will be exposed to a wide variety of approaches, including multi-tiered client-server systems, enterprise computing, electronic commerce systems, concurrency control and crash recovery, online transaction processing, cloud based systems and architectures, and security and privacy issues for management. These topics will be covered in the context of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and cloud based systems wherever possible.
