FIT 530 - Nutrition for Fitness Professionals (3 cr.) This course is designed to educate students about general nutrition recommendations to maintain health, body composition, and improve performance in their clients. Students will examine contemporary nutritional topics such as sports nutrition, vitamin/protein supplementation “functional foods”, antioxidants, and working in collaboration with Registered Dietitians (RDs). Additional nutrition topics designed to inform individuals about the latest research on topics such as “superfoods”, organic foods, and genetically modified foods. Semester(s) Offered: Spring
