EDU 5130 - Assessment in Education I: Theories and Conceptual Frameworks (3 cr.) This course includes topics on assessing student knowledge and skills, both quantitatively and qualitatively. It includes traditional and non-traditional assessment methodologies. Concepts such as creating assessments for diverse learners and analyzing these data to make informed instructional decision are addressed. Skills such as description, analysis, and reflection are emphasized. This course highlights teacher responsibilities in assessment and promotes ethics in testing.
