CSC 441 - Database Management Systems (3 cr.)

Relational database design and implementation. Core topics include: record and file organizations, access structures, entity-relationship model, relational algebra and calculus, relational model functional dependencies and normalization, SQL, database implementation and application programs. Bioinformatics databases and related programming libraries.
