CRI 360 - Race, Crime, and Justice (3 cr.) This course is a critical examination of the intersection of race, ethnicity, and crime, and the economic, political, and sociological reasons why racial and ethnic minorities are overrepresented in the criminal justice system. This course also analyzes the historical relationship between race and criminal justice, and the role that racism plays in policing and punishing racial and ethnic minorities. The media’s influence on race, crime, and justice is also explored. Liberal Arts Prerequisite(s): CRI 150 or SOC 101 . Semester(s) Offered: Fall, Spring
