CMM 303 - Health Communication (3 cr.) This survey course introduces theories and practices of health communication. Students will explore interpersonal communication (e.g. between health providers, caregivers and patients), group communication (e.g., interprofessional health teams, support groups & healthcare organizations), and effective health messaging between institutions and the public. Through readings, case studies, and class discussions, students explore the ways in which communication is intertwined with public health, equity and health care.
