ENG 303 - Writing Fiction (3 cr.) The focus of this course is on the craft of writing fiction. Weekly assignments and in-class exercises will focus on specific writing techniques (character, plot, setting, etc.) as well as the needs and interests of the class. Assignments are intended to inspire the writing process as well as to lay the groundwork for more developed drafts and stories. Writing workshop and discussions of books and individual stories help hone our growing understanding of writing techniques. Liberal arts Prerequisite(s): ENG 101 and ENG 186 or ENG 201 or ENG 209 or POI. Meets Advanced Writing Requirement Semester(s) Offered: Every Other Fall
