ENG 163 - Introduction to Film and Literature (3 cr.) This course explores the relationships between film and literature. Topics include formal analogies, critical theories of film and literature, film adaptations, historical and cultural parallels, and a broad understanding of cinematic pop culture and the literary arts. Students will examine these interdisciplinary connections through a variety of artistic media, including films (international and US), the visual arts graphic novels, drama, fiction, and poetry.
