SOC 321 - Sociology of Race and Ethnicity (3 cr.) This course examines the historical development and definitions of race, racism, and ethnicity. The course outlines contemporary theories of race and the reproduction of racial inequalities in the US and explores how race appears in other national contexts. The course also examines processes of immigrant incorporation as well as historical and contemporary anti-racist social movements.
