SOC 309 - Sociology of Aging and Death (3 cr.) This course examines how society shapes the experience of aging (in particular, the experience of old age), the societal response to older adults, and the experience and response to death. This course will consider how these elements intersect with other social characteristics such as class, gender, and race/ethnicity both here in the United States and internationally.
