NUR 466 - Transition to Professional Nursing Practice (5 cr.) Synthesis of core knowledge and skills in preparation for entry level professional practice. Review of the professional body of knowledge necessary for entry into practice and licensure. Exploration of role formation, transition, and continued professional development. Emphasis on advocacy for patients, practice and profession. Focus on career planning and professional advancement. Practicum experience enables students to demonstrate leadership and collaborative skills in working with other members of the health care team. Credits: 5 (3 lecture, 2 clinical).
