MIS 275 - Business Applications and Information Systems (3 cr.) This course will provide the student with an in-depth understanding and working knowledge of the most popular business software with special emphasis on MS Office. Through a variety of hands-on exercises and minicases, students will utilize Excel spreadsheets and Access databases to explore information technology impacts on the core business disciplines (accounting, marketing, human resource management, operations management, and finance). We will provide the student with an understanding of information systems terminology, the ethics of information collection and use, and the ability to determine what information should be presented to various levels of management.
