HIS 319 - U.S. Environmental History (3 cr.) This course studies the history of the role and place of nature in American culture. The central goal of the course is to explore the changing conceptions of nature in the United States in order to understand ways in which the natural environment have been an influence in the history of the nation. Includes a case study of the Adirondacks. Liberal arts Prerequisite(s): Three credits in history. Semester(s) Offered: Fall, Spring
