BIO 407 - Immunology (3 cr.) Principles of host defense mechanisms, both innate and acquired. Cell development and cooperation in immune reactions. Immunogenetics. Antigen-Antibody interactions and clinical applications. Immune dysfunctions of Hypersentitivies (allergies and autoimmunities) and Immunodeficiencies (primary and secondary). The role of the immune system in AIDS, transplants, cancer and immune responses to infectious disease.
