ANT 368 - Anthropology of Food (3 cr.) An introduction to how food and its production helps define societies and cultures. Course participants will study the historical events that define our relationship to food, the meaning that food has in our lives as well as the religious and ceremonial significance of what and how we eat. The course will also examine the global expansion of industrial food production and its effects on health and well-being. Liberal arts Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing or POI.
