BIO 342 - Developmental Biology (3 cr.) An introduction to development from egg to fertile adult individual featuring widely employed model organisms. Topics covered include reproductive biology, early embryogenesis, establishment of the body plan, neurogenesis and patterning of the brain, limb outgrowth, and organogenesis. Relevance to human disease will be emphasized where appropriate.
Liberal Arts Prerequisite(s): BIO101, BIO102, and BIO305, or permission of the instructor. Semester(s) Offered: Spring
