CSD 536 - Dysphagia (3 cr.) This course will provide students with information regarding normal and disordered swallowing/deglutition. Students will demonstrate skills in the areas of: identifying the anatomy and physiology of normal and disordered swallowing as well as the processes of evaluating, diagnosing and treating swallowing disorders across the lifespan. Various diagnostic and treatment procedures will be presented along with functional goal writing and documentation of progress to support reimbursement and current best practices. Prerequisite(s): CSD533; graduate students in speech-language pathology. Semester(s) Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer
