EXP 388 - Ski Mountaineering (3 cr.)

The third of three ski process courses, EXP388 emphasizes the core competences required in ski mountaineering. Beginning with an analysis of the idea of leadership and relevant learning theories, this course studies individual behavior and motivation in adventure settings, group dynamics, risk management, and specialized ski mountaineering skills for adventure leaders. These materials are addressed in actual ski mountaineering settings and with backcountry ski groups.
