CHE 240 - Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry (5 cr.)

A one-semester introduction to organic chemistry. Emphasis on hydrocarbons, aromatics, alkyl halides, alcohol, ethers, the carbonyl group, biomolecules and spectroscopic structure determination. This course does not serve as a prereq for CHE242. Not open for credit to students who have completed CHE241 or CHE271. Lecture/Lab

Prerequisite(s): Minimum grade of C in CHE 112 .
