Curriculum 0317/0318 

In the English B.A/B.S., students will read a diverse array of writers, past and present, and learn how to communicate effectively and creatively. Students choose from three concentrations: Literature, Creative Writing, and English Language Arts. It prepares students for careers in teaching English at the secondary and post-secondary levels, writing, editing and publishing. It provides a solid foundation for any career that requires reading and writing skills. For more information contact the English Department. Major Departmental Requirements 36-42 Credits

  • Select one upper level American literature or British literature course.

Additional Degree Requirements


  1. Completion of all Undergraduate Degree Requirements , including General Education: The Cardinal Core Curriculum , elective courses if applicable, and a total of 120 credits minimum. 
  2. A minimum GPA of 2.0 in Major Departmental Requirements.
