The Accounting Department at SUNY Plattsburgh prepares students for careers in public accounting, corporate accounting, forensic accounting, business data analytics, taxation, and governmental and nonprofit organizations.
The undergraduate B.S. in Accounting Program offers a 120-credit curriculum that prepares students to pass the New York State CPA and other professional examinations. Furthermore, our undergraduate students can pursue graduate degrees in accounting, business administration, data analytics, forensic accounting, and taxation upon graduation.
The combined undergraduate & graduate program: B.S. in Accounting/M.S. in Data Analytics is a 150-credit New York State CPA Licensure-Qualifying Program. Upon graduation from this combined program, students will meet the CPA-150E educational requirements for obtaining a CPA License.
The newly approved MS Accounting Program is also a New York State CPA-150E Licensure-Qualifying Program that focuses on accounting analytics and forensic accounting.
The Accounting Department welcomes transfer students and career changers with prior university degrees to complete the programs online or on-ground.
