PHY 111 - General Physics I (4 cr.)


The course provides a basic but unified and quantitative introduction to the experimental laws and fundamental principles of physics. The course content includes mechanics, thermal physics, wave motion, optics and electromagnetism. However, the principles of special relativity and the quantum nature of matter and radiation will be integrated into relevant portions of those topics. Lecture/laboratory.
