CRI 250 - Criminology and the Criminal Justice System (3 cr.) An introduction to the social scientific study of crime and criminals and to the criminal justice system. Topics include definitions of crime, nature of law, extent and fear of crime, problems of measurement, types of crime, patterns of victimization, characteristics of offenders, and theories of crime. In parallel with the above, the course includes an examination of the basic agencies of the criminal justice system. Liberal arts Prerequisite(s): SOC 101 .
