BIO 304 - Ecology (4 cr.)


Study of the interactions between organisms and their environments. Topics include the ecological principles of energy flow, biogeochemistry, global climate change, adaptation by individual organisms to their environment, properties of population, community structure and dynamics, ecosystem productivity and functions and review of ecological literature. Laboratory includes field illustrations of ecological habitats, experiences utilizing methods and techniques to conduct ecological measurements, and ecological data analysis. Lecture and laboratory.
