CRI 354 - Policing and Society (3 cr.) This course touches on theories, actions, issues, problems, and solutions related to policing in a free, democratic, and diverse society. The individual police officer’s experience, police organizations, operations, and police subculture are covered in this course. Discussions will avail the student of theoretical and practical information about the functions of the police. This course also examines the nature of coercion and how it affects police-public relations using timely real-life cases. Liberal arts Prerequisite(s): CRI 150
