CSM 441 - Security Assurance for Information Systems Audit (3 cr.)

The advancement of information systems and technology offers a vital benefit for businesses. However, it also brings ever-increasing challenges due to the existence of hackers, malware, viruses, and cybercrimes. This course will cover topics related to developing, implementing, monitoring, and auditing an information system’s security. Managerial concepts for security of operating systems, administering security, and legal/ethical/policy issues examined. Explores the advancement in security detection and implementation, problem-solving techniques, and the role and importance of the information systems auditor.
