MAT 102 - Precalculus (3 cr.)


Algebra, and an introduction to functions and their graphs. Intended for students needing to prepare themselves for calculus. Topics include the real and complex number systems, the elementary functions (linear, quadratic, polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic), equations and inequalities, the algebra of functions and the graphs of functions. May be taken concurrently with MAT104. Students will not receive credit for MAT102 if they received credit for a calculus course.

Prerequisite(s): Completion of math competency requirement.
Corequisite(s): May be taken concurrently with MAT 104
