Ecology is the study of life on earth. In this course, we investigate natural phenomena at multiple scales, from the level of the individual organism to the global earth ecosystem. We also investigate interactions between humans and our environments. Students will explore the foundations of some of our most pressing environmental challenges and learn to develop actionable solutions. Laboratory activities introduce students to best practices in environmental measurements, data analysis, and scientific writing and communication. Lecture/Lab.
