EDU 5110 - Exploring Teaching and Child Development (3 cr.) A study of cognitive, social, physical, and emotional development in school and social contexts. Teacher candidates will explore major theoretical perspectives on teaching, learning, and child development as frameworks for developing links between theory and experience. This course meets SED mandates for the completion of the child abuse/neglect prevention (CA), DASA (Dignity for All Students Act), substance abuse awareness, and school violence prevention (SAVE). Prerequisite(s): Matriculated in MST Childhood Education program. Semester(s) Offered: Fall
