CHE 481 - Biochemistry Laboratory I (1 cr.) The course will cover many skills of basic Biochemistry Laboratory. The course is designed to lead to independent biochemical investigation via group research projects (Course-Based Undergraduate Research Experience - CURE). Skills developed this semester will include accurate pipetting, calculation and preparation of solutions and buffer, dilutions, biological sample preparations, protein standard curve elaboration and protein concentration determination by spectrometry, troubleshooting, protein gel electrophoresis including gel preparation, enzymology, protein identification and cellular location.
